Pre-opening and operational readiness, visitor experience and commercial strategy for attractions.
Over 20 years of opening and operating attractions across Australia, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Peta Wittig Consulting partners with developers, owners and operators, drawing on diverse, hands-on experience across a wide range of attractions.
Collaboration sits at the heart of every engagement, with the work centred on three kinds of clients.
Consulting firms
Project or sub-consultant
Whether you need an extra pair of hands for a specific project or a particular skill to round out your team's expertise. An operator's view on feasibility, benchmarking, financial modelling and operational planning.
Opening a new attraction is complex, fast-moving and often a bit messy. Experienced support on your side of the table, translating design into operations, building the operating model and making sure it all comes together in a way that works on day one.
For established attractions there is almost always an opportunity to operate smarter. Reviewing costs, pricing, workflows and the visitor experience, then leaving your team with the tools and confidence to sustain it. Available as consulting or a fixed-term project role.
Prior to starting her own business, Peta spent her career opening and operating attractions all over the world: Melbourne Aquarium, Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, The Green Planet Dubai, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, Phillip Island Penguin Parade and the St. Louis Aquarium. All of this has given her a pretty unique view of how this industry works, both behind the scenes and out on the floor.
Turning ideas into something that works in the real world. Not just strategy on paper, but experiences that run well, make sense commercially, and genuinely connect with visitors.
Twelve Apostles Precinct: from a 45-minute photo stop to a destination
Two and a half years as the commercial and operational lead on the client side with GORCAPA and Development Victoria. Strategy, business model and ticketing, the operating manual, visitor journey and storytelling, through to training the new team for opening in October 2026.
“We could not have done it without your expertise, energy and perseverance Peta. You’ve played an integral role in the work to prepare for the operation of this amazing new venue and ensuring visitors have a terrific experience.”

The best results come from working alongside teams: sharing experience, challenging thinking, and delivering experiences that are both meaningful for visitors and effective for the business.
